The Exchange on The Gendered Impact of COVID-19

8 March, 2021 @ 11:30 am 12:45 pm

The Independent Panel “Exchange” is a series of town hall style meetings, open to everyone, aimed at hearing from people on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic. This Exchange discussed the impact of COVID-19 on gender imbalances in the management of the pandemic, on gender-based violence, and on women’s economic participation. Co-Chair Helen Clark hosted this Exchange, together with Magda Robalo, Women in Global Health Advisor and High Commissioner for COVID-19 in Guinea Bissau, Anne Ngunjiri, Senior Advisor with LVCT Health Kenya leading the Gender and COVID-19 Project, and Abi Adams- Prassl Associate Professor in Economics at the University of Oxford.

Dr. Roopa Dhatt, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Women in Global Health, moderated the conversation involving 15 academics, front-line care workers, CSO organizers, domestic workers and LGBTQI+ advocates from around the world.
